Outdoor Learning
We offer a variety of outdoor experiences designed especially for schools. These sessions are tailored around children’s abilities, the curriculum and the season in which they take place. All sessions follow the holistic development of children as they explore, investigate and take risks in the great outdoors.
After a long day at school, what’s better than having FUN in the great outdoors? We know that children can be tired after school, so this session is designed to give children the freedom to explore and follow their own interests. If your school would like us to start an after school club, please enquire here.
This is a one-off session designed for schools which will demonstrate various activities to get children excited to explore the outdoors. This is a very flexible session; simply tell us what you’re learning and we’ll do the rest! We pride ourselves on making each session bespoke to the schools’ needs and wants. This is a 6-week block session where children will, over time, learn about the world around them. Sessions focus on aspects of holistic development. We pride ourselves in being less of a teacher and more of a facilitator, mentor and experienced companion. Children are allowed to choose the direction they take, discover, discuss and develop without the constraints of a table and chair. As they learn to respect this freedom, they will learn about themselves, learn about others, and learn to be resilient. To bring the Forest School Experience to your school, enquire here.
Parent and Child Workshop
Our parent and child sessions encourage and facilitate parents/guardians to participate in the great outdoors with their child. Each session will focus on a different skill centred around a story. Children and parents will come away feeling connected to the outdoors, and most importantly, having had lots of fun!
Arts and Crafts
In this structured session, children will be given clear instructions to create a masterpiece; this could be created in a day or over several weeks. Children will gain the confidence to use tools in a safe and nurturing environment. Nothing is ever too big or too small, as we tailor these sessions around the art and DT curriculum.
